Probably the nicest golf courses I've ever played on. The fairways, greens, even the rough are all prestine. The sand is as soft as the beach and easy to hit out of. Wind could be gusting for most of your shots so listen to your caddy!
After watching PM win here, I figured I’d own this course. I was 51, I’m a lefty….the similarities ended there.
My home course hosts a PGA event every year, but the OC presents a whole different challenge. I loved the entire experience and of course, the setting was unbelievable. Caddy was superb. Wind was half challenge, half help. Not sure what type of grass the greens are, but whatever it is will be my excuse for getting torched by this place. 😂
I’ll be back to exact my revenge on this place. It’s too much fun!
The Ocean Course was awesome! Fantastic service and immaculate condition. Caddies, Seth & Dylan, were awesome and put up with my bad golf. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back and play it again!
Nice but overpriced. They charge you for everything. For resort guests, the day before tee time. $30 hours per person to use the green. We travel everywhere for golf. This place cost more than Scotland St. Andrews, Pinehurst and course in Hilton head. If you like golf this is a bucket list and extra money. Come here at least once.
Beautiful! Didn't play, as $700 a round is a bit out of my price range! But did have dinner here one night, the food was excellent.
Playing this course was an awesome experience. The course is incredibly difficult, but it is a fair course and does allow you to score. Even on a light wind day, the ocean will throw your ball all over the course. What I appreciated about this course was the fact that while covered with waste areas and stretched out far, the greens are still playable. When you get up to the green you feel like you actually have a chance of making putts and getting chip shots close. Additionally, the course is in beautiful condition, and you will be in aw the entire round. I definitely want to get out here again one day.
My son and I along with Mr. Motes and one of his good friends Jaskson play this course on Thursday! Big Willie was are caddie great guy! The course was playing a 79.5 today with the wind! Jackson shot a 86; that was great considering. He was heading for a 79 with three holes left..... Wow 😮 So I know what about me? Well 116, yes after a long layoff, I am back....... next year 80's golf or better on the Ocean coures
A very scenic course and a challenge to golfers of all levels. I'm not the greatest golfer (I keep score based on the number of golf balls I lose), but the course was still very enjoyable and offered a challenge for me without being overly frustrating. The wind is arguably the biggest challenge as it was either blowing at us (reducing distance) or at our backs (helping distance). Golf carts are not allowed except after 10 am during the summer, so there is plenty of walking. Caddies are optional and included in the greens fees, but the gratuity is not included in the price. ($100/bag is suggested)
Pros: Beautiful course that can be a challenge to golfers of any level. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the course. Course was in excellent shape, as I played just before the 2021 PGA Championship. Practice facility is very nice and is included in the greens fees.
Cons: Can be expensive roughly ~$460/person/round. Depending on time of year (early March for me). Carts aren't allowed most of the time (except summer) so there is a lot of walking involved.
